Driver Training

Motor vehicle accidents are a continually growing statistic in Britain despite the government’s best attempts to try and ensure our road safety by implementing various schemes and ideas. Many people blame the rising number of cars, which obviously does have an impact, whilst others blame it on lesser standards of driving by which a license is awarded. Maybe in part, both are true.

Driver Training

Because of the rising numbers of cars on Britain’s roads it is now more important than ever to be a good and capable driver.

Not all drivers are created equal: Some people have a natural gift for driving, whilst others may scrape through their test by the skin of their teeth only to find themselves alone on the roads and struggling. This is a very common problem which has caused many people to call for tougher tests and higher standards of driving skills before being awarded a license.

There are courses for additional driver training which can be done after a license has been awarded which can help you improve upon your driving skills, which in turn helps you to be safer on the roads, feel more confident and also will help you to lower your insurance premium for any additional advanced driver qualifications you achieve.

Many companies have cottoned onto this idea and companies which loan out company cars may put their employees through some driver training or assessment to help create better drivers and eventually save money by lower insurance and less accident payouts.

Driver training isn’t simply limited to car usage, but also forklift trucks and heavy goods vehicles (HGV) which require the drivers to hold special licenses. It is in every companies interest to have the best trained staff, and in instances where driving either a company car or another vehicle such as the aforementioned, an employee may be expected or encouraged to partake in some driver training to further their skills.
